Reaching out and doing something that touches someone’s life is more than just a simple act of charity.

The will to help another starts from within and it requires one to have a sense of empathy. Only then will one be able to understand and feel what others are going through.  It is about putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes.

Leadership through Actions that Exhibit Care for Our Customers

Peter Drucker once said, “Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.” This quote resonated strongly within myself and my other colleagues who congregated on the 19 and 20 of June for Sarawak Energy’s second Leadership Conference 2014. I couldn’t agree more with the conference’s theme – ‘Customers are the reason why we are here.’ Sarawak Energy strives to serve Sarawakians to the best of their ability, and the leadership conference has greatly broadened my perspective on how we can serve our customers better, be them internal or external.
